Note: The Greenway is currently undergoing refurbishment by the Active Travel section of the council.
Section B - between the Mall Rd and the Glen Rd has been dredged and cleaned. Over 70 native trees, mostly birch, have been planted and wildflower sedds sown.
Section A - between Coolshannagh and Old Cross Square is currently closed to the public while works continue.

The Greenway follows the route of the Ulster Canal through the town from the Clones Road to the Coolshannagh Roundabout on the northern side. It has been a huge success with thousands of people using it for walking and cycling. The Greenway is teaming with nature and biodiversity and its logo (opposite) reflects this. Find out more at
www.http://ulstercanalgreenway.com/

because we think the Greenway deserves its own web site!! See the flora and fauna and find out about the lock house project!
